Godzilla Vs Kong adds Demián Bichir to the cast

Demian Bichir has joined the cast of Adam Wingard’s Godzilla Vs Kong

Oscar-nominated actor Demián Bichir is currently in negotiations to join Legendary’s Godzilla Vs Kong. However, any character details are yet to be confirmed.

Bichir was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor for his work in  Chris Weitz’s 2011 film A Better Life, but he’s is no stranger to genre projects: he recently starred as Father Burke in horror The Nun, and as Lope in Alien: Covenant.

He joins a cast made up of Millie Bobby Brown, Danai Gurira, Kyle Chandler, Julian Dennison, Ziyi Zhang and Brian Tyree Henry.

As the film’s title suggestions, Godzilla Vs Kong will revolve around the meeting of and subsequent fight between Godzilla and King Kong, but not much else is currently known about the plot. Production on the film is set to start in November in Atlanta.

Godzilla Vs Kong will be director Adam Wingard’s next film to hit cinemas. Wingard is best known for helming the likes of The GuestBlair Witch and You’re Next.

Godzilla Vs Kong is in cinemas from 22 May 2020. Get all the latest sci-fi news with every issue of SciFiNow.
